You guys! I dropped off photos a few days ago for one of the most fun jobs I’ve had to date! Salida Early Childhood Center, the amazing preschool that I used to teach at, hired me to take photos of every single kiddo at their center this spring and it was a total blast! I also got to take class photos and update all their staff photos for them. The best part of this whole job is that they did the children’s photos as a surprise gift to the parents on the last day of school, which was yesterday! This means I’ve been dying to talk about it and show you some photos but I had to wait!

I feel so honored to have been asked to do this for them. The decision to step down from teaching last year, to pursue this photography dream, was not an easy one for me. I really love this program and all the ways they go above and beyond for the families they serve. The fact that I not only got to take really fun photos, but I got to spend time at the center for a little while again was really a joy!

On a side note, if you know a school or a program that would love photos like these of their kids, I would absolutely love to talk to you about it. By the end of this job, I found myself daydreaming about doing this all the time!
